Roses That Maintain Cup Shape

Below is basic information about four rose varieties that maintain their cup shape (in stable climate conditions and when the plants have reached a certain age) at Pemdas Garden.

Mon Coeur Rose
- Origin: Bred by Takunori Kimura, introduced in Japan in 2012.
- Characteristics: Climbing, average height 1.5m - 2.5m.
- Color: Pink, Light Pink.
- Bloom Size: 6-8 cm, lasts 5-8 days.
- Fragrance: Fruity with musk undertones.
- Repeat Bloom: Year-round, every 4-5 weeks.
- Disease Resistance: Good.
Strawberry Macaron Rose
- Origin: Bred by Hiroshi Ogawa, Japan, 2011.
- Characteristics: Bush, mature height 80-120 cm.
- Color: Light Pink.
- Bloom Size: 5-8 cm, lasts 10-15 days.
- Fragrance: Mild fruity scent.
- Repeat Bloom: Every 4-5 weeks.
- Disease Resistance: Very good.
Plume Rose
- Origin: Bred by Junko Kawamoto, Japan, 2014.
- Characteristics: Tall bush, short climber, average height 150-200 cm (depending on pruning).
- Color: Light Pink, Dark Pink.
- Bloom Size: 6-8 cm, lasts 3-5 days.
- Fragrance: Sweet fruity scent, with notes of apple and lemon.
- Repeat Bloom: Every 4-5 weeks.

Lady Heirloom Rose
- Origin: Bred by John Clements, USA, 1996.
- Characteristics: Bush, mature height 80-120 cm.
- Color: Light Pink.
- Bloom Size: 8-13 cm, lasts 5-8 days.
- Fragrance: Fruity with hints of lychee, longan, and cantaloupe; rich and sweet.
- Repeat Bloom: Every 4-5 weeks.
