  • Compact, well-branched plants for beds and pots
  • Blooms from early summer until frost with regular deadheading

How to grow White Geranium seeds

Choose Your Planting Method

  • Indoors: Sow indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost.
  • Outdoors: Set out or direct sow after all frost danger, when soil is warm.

Prepare Your Materials

  • Seed-starting trays or pots (if indoors)
  • Well-draining potting mix
  • Cover with a humidity dome until sprouts appear to hold moisture.
  • Spray bottle for misting

Sowing the Seeds

  • Cover seeds lightly with vermiculite — light is not required for germination.
  • Use a porous, well-drained seed mix and avoid overwatering.

Provide the Right Conditions

  • Light: Bright light after germination.
  • Temperature: Around 73°F (23°C); typically 70–75°F (21–24°C).

Germination

  • Usually 5–7 days, sometimes up to 3 weeks.
  • Pinch young plants once to encourage branching.

Transplanting

  • Plant out after the last frost when seedlings are sturdy.
  • Harden off for 7–10 days before moving outdoors.
  • Space 8–12 inches apart.

Care Tips

  • Sun: Full sun.
  • Water: Water when the top inch or two of soil is dry; avoid soggy soil.
  • Fertilizer: Feed every 2–3 weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer during bloom season.
  • Remove spent flower heads to keep blooms coming; bring pots indoors before the first frost.

Bloom Time:

Early summer to first frost.
