Why choose our seeds?

  • Large rose-pink blooms with a contrasting white star pattern
  • Compact, mounded habit that keeps flowering from spring to frost
  • Well suited to containers, edging and hanging baskets

How to grow Success HD Rose Star Petunia seeds

Choose Your Planting Method

  • Indoors: Start seeds 8-10 weeks before the last frost for early blooms.
  • Outdoors: Sow after the last frost once the soil is warm (around 70°F / 21°C).

Prepare Your Materials

  • Seed-starting trays or pots (if indoors)
  • Well-draining seed-starting mix
  • Humidity dome or plastic wrap
  • Spray bottle for misting

Sowing the Seeds

  • Press seeds onto the surface of the mix and do not cover - petunia seeds need light to germinate.
  • Mist gently; the seeds are very fine and wash away easily.

Provide the Right Conditions

  • Light: Bright light from sowing onward.
  • Temperature: 72-76°F (22-24°C) for germination.
  • Humidity: A dome helps keep the mix evenly moist until sprouting.

Germination

  • Seedlings typically emerge in 7-12 days.
  • Remove the cover at sprouting and grow on in strong light at 60-65°F (16-18°C).

Transplanting

  • Harden off and transplant outdoors after all frost danger has passed.
  • Space plants 8-12 inches apart.

Care Tips

  • Sun: Full sun.
  • Water: Water regularly, especially in containers; let the top inch of soil dry between waterings.
  • Fertilizer: Feed weekly with a balanced flower fertilizer during the growing season.
  • Deadhead spent blooms to keep new flowers coming.

Bloom Time:

Spring to frost.
