Quantity: 20 Seeds / pack
Rosebud Geranium Mix produces rosebud-type geraniums (Pelargonium) whose fully double blooms open like tiny roses in a range of colors. Plants form neat, bushy mounds of rounded, softly scented foliage.
Seed-grown geraniums are rewarding container and bedding plants. Because this is a seed mix, expect a range of colors and flower forms among the seedlings rather than one identical bloom.
Why choose our seeds?
- Rosebud-type double blooms resembling miniature roses, in mixed colors
- Neat, bushy plants for containers, window boxes, and sunny beds
- Seed mix — each packet grows a varied display of colors
How to grow Rosebud Geranium seeds
Choose Your Planting Method
- Indoors: Start indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost; geraniums are slow from seed.
- Outdoors: Sow outdoors only after all frost danger and warm nights.
Prepare Your Materials
- Seed-starting trays or pots (if indoors)
- Well-draining potting mix
- Spray bottle for misting
Sowing the Seeds
- Cover seeds thinly with fine vermiculite — they need darkness plus steady moisture.
- Keep the mix evenly moist but never soggy.
Provide the Right Conditions
- Light: Bright light once germinated; full sun for growing plants.
- Temperature: 70–75°F (21–24°C).
- Humidity: A humidity dome helps keep the surface evenly moist until sprouts appear.
Germination
- Germination in about 5 to 10 days.
- Grow seedlings on in bright, cooler conditions to keep them compact.
Transplanting
- Set out after all danger of frost, once nights stay above 50°F (10°C).
- Spacing: About 12 inches apart; closer in containers.
Care Tips
- Sun: Full sun for the most blooms.
- Water: Even moisture with good drainage; let the top inch dry slightly between waterings.
- Fertilizer: Feed lightly every few weeks with a balanced fertilizer during bloom season.
- Deadhead spent flower clusters to keep plants blooming. In cold climates, pot up favorites and overwinter indoors in bright light.
Bloom Time:
Blooms from early summer until frost.
