Queen Lime Blush (Zinnia elegans) is a beloved member of the Queen series, with fully double blooms that open blush-pink and fade to soft cream around pale lime-green centers. On sturdy 30–40 inch stems, it is a florist favorite for bouquets and a heavy rebloomer — cut often and new buds keep coming.

Why choose our seeds?

  • Elegant blush-to-cream blooms with signature lime-green centers
  • Fully double flowers on strong, straight stems for cutting
  • Cut-and-come-again habit that keeps producing until frost

How to grow Queen Lime Blush Zinnia seeds

Choose Your Planting Method

  • Indoors: Start 4–6 weeks before the last frost in deep cells; zinnias dislike root disturbance.
  • Outdoors: Direct sow after the last frost, once the soil is above 70°F (21°C).

Prepare Your Materials

  • Seed-starting trays or pots (if indoors)
  • Well-draining potting mix
  • Spray bottle for misting

Sowing the Seeds

  • Sow 1/4 inch deep and cover lightly with soil.
  • No special pre-treatment is needed; warmth is what matters.

Provide the Right Conditions

  • Light: Bright light or full sun once seedlings emerge.
  • Temperature: 75–85°F (24–29°C) for the fastest germination.

Germination

  • Seedlings emerge in 7–10 days at warm temperatures; cooler soil slows them down.
  • Keep soil evenly moist until sprouts appear, then water at the base.

Transplanting

  • Set out after the last frost when nights are warm.
  • Harden off for 7–10 days first; disturb roots as little as possible.
  • Space plants 8–12 inches apart.

Care Tips

  • Sun: Full sun; zinnias love summer heat.
  • Water: Water regularly until established, then during dry spells; avoid wetting the leaves.
  • Fertilizer: Light compost at planting is usually enough.
  • Pinch the first bud for branching, harvest or deadhead frequently, and sow every 2 weeks for a nonstop supply of cut flowers.

Bloom Time:

About 75–80 days from seed; blooms summer through frost.
