How to grow Pink Single Reflection Lotus seeds

Choose Your Planting Method

• Indoors: Start indoors at any time — scarify and soak in warm water.
• Outdoors: Start outdoors after the last frost, in full sun.

Prepare Your Materials

• Metal file or sandpaper for scarification
• Clear container of warm water for soaking
• Large pot (at least 24 inches wide, 12 inches deep) with no drainage holes
• Heavy clay soil or aquatic planting mix

Sowing the Seeds

• Scarification is required: gently file one spot on the side or rounded end of the hard seed coat (not the pointed tip) until the cream-colored interior shows.
• Soak the scarified seeds in warm water (75–85°F / 24–29°C), changing the water daily.

Provide the Right Conditions

• Light: Full sun — at least 6 hours of direct sun daily.
• Temperature: Warm water, 75–85°F (24–29°C), speeds germination.

Germination

• Seeds swell and sprout in about a week.
• Let the sprout grow until it is 4–6 inches long before planting.

Transplanting

• Plant the sprouted seedling in a pot of heavy clay or aquatic soil, leaving the growing tip exposed.
• Submerge the pot under 2–4 inches of water.
• One plant per large container is enough.
