How to grow Pink Bambini Candy Crush Phlox seeds
Choose Your Planting Method
- Indoors: Start 4–6 weeks before the last frost.
- Outdoors: Direct sow in early spring once the soil can be worked.
Prepare Your Materials
- Seed-starting trays or pots (if indoors)
- Well-draining potting mix
- Spray bottle for misting
Sowing the Seeds
- Sow about 1/16 inch deep and exclude light until germination — phlox seeds sprout best in the dark.
- No pre-treatment is needed.
Provide the Right Conditions
- Light: Keep covered/dark until seeds germinate, then move to bright light.
- Temperature: 55–60°F (13–15°C) — phlox prefers cool germination.
Germination
- Seedlings emerge in 10–21 days.
- Keep the soil evenly moist until sprouts appear.
Transplanting
- Move out after the last frost; harden off first.
- Space plants about 9 inches apart.
Care Tips
- Sun: Full sun for the heaviest bloom.
- Water: Water regularly; phlox likes rich, well-drained soil.
- Fertilizer: Light feeding in average soil is enough.
- Pinch the growing points when plants are 3 inches tall for bushier habit, deadhead for more flowers, and let a few set seed if you want self-sown plants next year.
Bloom Time:
Early summer to fall with deadheading.
