- Compact plants sized for pots, window boxes, and edging
- Rounded clusters of blooms in a cheerful mix of colors
- Long-flowering plants that thrive in sunny spots
How to grow Nano Geranium Mix seeds
Choose Your Planting Method
- Indoors: Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost date.
- Outdoors: Direct sowing is not recommended; start indoors for reliable results.
Prepare Your Materials
- Seed-starting trays or pots
- Well-draining seed-starting mix
- Plastic wrap or a humidity dome (to hold in moisture until sprouting)
- Spray bottle for misting
Sowing the Seeds
- Sow about 1/8 inch deep and cover lightly with mix or vermiculite; light is not required for germination.
- Keep the mix evenly moist but not soggy.
Provide the Right Conditions
- Light: Give seedlings bright light as soon as they emerge so they stay stocky.
- Temperature: About 70-75°F (21-24°C) for germination.
- Humidity: Cover the tray until seeds sprout, then remove the cover.
Germination
- Seeds sprout in 7-14 days at warm temperatures.
- Grow seedlings on under bright light and begin light feeding once true leaves appear.
Transplanting
- Move seedlings to individual pots as soon as they can be handled.
- Set plants out after all danger of frost has passed, spacing 8-10 inches apart.
Care Tips
- Sun: Full sun to partial shade.
- Water: Let the surface dry slightly between waterings; geraniums dislike wet feet.
- Fertilizer: Feed lightly every two weeks during the growing season.
- Remove spent flower heads to keep new blooms coming.
Bloom Time:
Summer into fall, once plants are established after transplanting.
