Quantity: 20 Seeds / pack

Mini Clover (Trifolium repens) is a dwarf white clover selected for lawn use, forming a dense, low carpet of small three-lobed leaves. As a legume it fixes nitrogen, naturally feeding the soil around it. The coated seeds are easy to see and spread evenly for patching lawns or sowing a clover lawn.

Why choose our seeds?

  • Dwarf, low-growing clover for lawns and ground cover
  • Legume roots fix nitrogen, enriching the soil naturally
  • Coated seeds for easy, even sowing; 20 seeds per packet

How to grow Mini Clover Lawn seeds

Choose Your Planting Method

  • Indoors: Sow directly where it will grow — indoor starting is not typical for clover.
  • Outdoors: Sow in spring or early fall into prepared, weed-free soil.

Prepare Your Materials

  • Seed-starting trays or pots (if indoors)
  • Well-draining seed-starting mix
  • Spray bottle for misting

Sowing the Seeds

  • Rake the seedbed to a fine tilth, scatter seeds evenly, and rake in very lightly or press into the surface — do not bury deeply.
  • The coating helps you see where seed has landed for even coverage.

Provide the Right Conditions

  • Light: Full sun to partial shade.
  • Temperature: 50-68°F (10-20°C); germination in 5-14 days.

Germination

  • Keep the surface consistently moist until seedlings are established.
  • Water lightly once or twice daily in dry weather.

Transplanting

  • No transplanting needed — overseed thin spots as desired.
  • Keep foot traffic off new seedlings until established.

Care Tips

  • Sun: Full sun to partial shade.
  • Water: Water regularly during establishment; needs little water once rooted.
  • Fertilizer: No nitrogen fertilizer needed — clover fixes its own.
  • Mow as desired; clover tolerates regular mowing.

Bloom Time:

Small white flower heads appear from late spring through summer if left unmown.
