Why choose our seeds?
- Clusters of bright blooms in a cheerful mixed color range
- Compact, well-branched plants for beds, borders, and containers
- Long bloom season from late spring through summer
How to grow Geranium Multibloom Mix seeds
Choose Your Planting Method
- Indoors: Start seeds indoors 8-12 weeks before the last frost — geraniums are slow to reach flowering size.
- Outdoors: Set plants outdoors only after all frost danger has passed.
Prepare Your Materials
- Seed-starting trays or pots (if indoors)
- Well-draining potting mix
- Fine vermiculite for covering seeds
- Clear plastic wrap or a humidity dome
- Spray bottle for misting
Sowing the Seeds
- Sow about 1/8 inch deep and cover with a thin layer of vermiculite to hold moisture — light is not required for germination
- Keep the medium evenly moist
Provide the Right Conditions
- Light: Bright light once seedlings emerge; full sun to partial shade outdoors
- Temperature: 70-75°F (21-24°C)
- Humidity: Cover with plastic wrap or a dome until germination
Germination
- Seeds germinate in 7-21 days
- Grow seedlings on in bright light; feed with a very dilute liquid fertilizer once true leaves appear
Transplanting
- Transplant to 4-inch pots when seedlings have several true leaves, planting at the same depth to prevent stem rot
- Move outdoors after frost danger has passed and harden off over 7-10 days
- Space plants 10-12 inches apart
Care Tips
- Sun: Full sun to partial shade
- Water: Let the soil surface dry slightly between waterings; avoid soggy soil
- Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2-3 weeks during the growing season
- Pinch young plants to promote branching and remove spent flower heads to keep plants blooming
Bloom Time:
Late spring through summer; first blooms appear about 5-6 months from sowing.
