Why choose our seeds?

  • Bright orange blooms on compact plants (about 8-12 inches tall)
  • Long bloom season — summer through fall
  • Good for edging, bedding, containers and mass plantings

How to grow Disco Orange Marigold (Tagetes patula) seeds

Choose Your Planting Method

  • Indoors: Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before your last frost date.
  • Outdoors: Sow directly outdoors 1-2 weeks after the last frost, once the soil has warmed.

Prepare Your Materials

  • Seed-starting trays or pots (if indoors)
  • Well-draining potting mix
  • Spray bottle for misting

Sowing the Seeds

  • Sow seeds about 1/4 inch (5-6 mm) deep and cover lightly with soil.
  • Keep the soil evenly moist until seedlings emerge.

Provide the Right Conditions

  • Light: Bright light; grow on in full sun.
  • Temperature: 70-75°F (21-24°C) for germination.

Germination

  • 7-14 days.
  • Thin or transplant to the strongest seedlings once they are a few inches tall.

Transplanting

  • Move seedlings outdoors after all frost danger has passed; harden them off first.
  • Spacing: 8-10 inches apart

Care Tips

  • Sun: Full sun.
  • Water: Water regularly to keep soil evenly moist, especially in hot weather; avoid waterlogged soil.
  • Fertilizer: Light feeding with a balanced fertilizer every couple of weeks supports steady bloom.
  • Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage continuous blooming through fall.

Bloom Time:

Summer through fall, roughly 8-12 weeks after sowing.
