PEONY-LIKE ROSE VARIETIES AT PEMDAS GARDEN

Below is basic information about four rose varieties that have the beauty of peonies.

Peony Pink Rose

Origin: Bred in England, 1987.
Characteristics: Bush type, matures over 150 cm tall.
Color: Light pink.
Flower size: 6-8 cm, lasts 3-5 days.
Fragrance: Sweet fruity scent, lemon, almond.
Bloom cycle: Every 4-5 weeks.
Disease resistance: Average.
Notes: Flowers last longer in cooler weather. In hot climates, flowers will achieve peony form during cool days, after rain, or in the last months of the year.

2.Plume Rose

Origin: Bred by Junko Kawamoto, Japan, 2014.
Characteristics: Tall bush type, short climber, averages 150-200 cm (depending on pruning).
Color: Light pink, deep pink.
Flower size: 6-8 cm, lasts 3-5 days.
Fragrance: Sweet fruity scent, apple, lemon.
Bloom cycle: Every 4-5 weeks.
Disease resistance: Good.
Notes: Flowers last longer in cooler weather. In hot climates, flowers still achieve peony form, more perfectly on cool days.

3.Yves Pink Piaget Rose

Origin: Bred by Meilland, France, introduced in 2018.
Characteristics: Bush type, sturdy cut-flower variety, matures at 120-150 cm tall.
Color: Pink-white with pink edges.
Flower size: 8-12 cm, lasts 5-8 days.
Fragrance: Sweet fruity scent, orange, lemon.
Bloom cycle: Every 4-5 weeks.
Disease resistance: Average.
Notes: Slow-growing as it focuses on producing large flowers. Grows well even in hot climates. Achieves peony form during cool days, after rain, or in the last months of the year.

4.Yves Piaget Rose

Origin: Bred by Meilland, France, before 1981.
Characteristics: Bush type, sturdy cut-flower variety, matures at 120-150 cm tall.
Color: Light pink, deep pink.

Fragrance: Sweet fruity scent, lemon, orange with hints of strawberry milk.
